Crabby

In this project Neeraj and Valeriya wanted to address the problem of carrying weight and movement on slippery surfaces and we decided to develop a prototype that would assist people in carrying their daily weight/ When we started initially we had many thoughts about how to develop this project and were inspired by the wind powered mechanisms of Theo Jansen and wanted to imitate the movements of a loving being within the city environment. In total they have made 7 prototypes, on 7th they managed to find the best balance of stability, size and movement. This prototype was developed using acrylic canvas sheets and it is a portable and foldable model which can be carried around in a backpack and unfolded when required.

The Project by Neeraj Mazumder and Valeriya Miftakhova, students of the HSE international Master program 'Prototyping future cities'
