Digital fabrication workshop for refugee children
On 14 November students of the master program ‘Prototyping future cities’ conducted a workshop on digital fabrication for kids and teenagers from the Migrant and Refugee Integration Center.
18 participants from 8 to 22 years old took part in the workshop. Children had an excursion around Shukhov Lab and learnt about its latest projects and cutting-edge technologies. Within the practical part participants tried to draw sketches in Vector and cut them from the vinyl.
In the future Shukhov Lab is planning to conduct a series of similar workshops for other groups of the Center.
The Center for the Adaptation and Training of Refugee Children is a project of the Civic Assistance Committee. Today, more than 80 children and about 70 volunteers are involved in the activities of the Center.
